Alicia has been really happy today! It's great to finally see her smile again, we really missed it!
During the time Alicia felt bad she hardly moved around at all, not even her arms and legs. For a week or two now she has started to get active with her arms and hands again. She feels everything with her fingers now and she pinches everything. When we give her a bottle she holds her hand on it, like she wants to hold it.
Yesterday and today we have seen that she been moving her legs and feet a little bit. Not much, but still... They are moving... =)
Today she tried to roll over again. She used to know how to do it, but all the medicines and the Infantile Spasm made her forget it. Today she almost made it on her own. She put both her arm and leg over her body and tried to pull. When we gave her a little push on her back she rolled all the way over!!
Laying on her stomach she is having a hard time holding her head up. Her neck muscles are very loose. This also due to the medicines and the Infantile Spasm. We are working hard on training them and we think that it is starting to pay of. Today she tried to lift her head up when she was laying on her stomach. It didn't get very high, but she tried...
Alicia is smiling and laughing when we do her exercises and play with her. She has a wonderful attitude and that makes it so much easier for us to do all the work with her. We feel so rewarded just from a little smile!!!
