December 14th 2011 - Lucia

December 13th is the day we celebrate Lucia in Sweden, so yesterday was a hectic day for us. At 6:45 we were supposed to be at Damien’s daycare to see all the kids preform. I’m proud to say that we had all the kids ready and made it on time!! All the kids lined up and walked through the schoolyard and sang Lucia and Christmas songs. Damien did really well and stayed with the group the entire time. After the preforming we all went inside for coffee and lussebullar (special buns you eat for Lucia). It was a really cozy morning!!







In the evening they had celebrations at Alicia’s daycare. Unfortunately it was rainy and cold so we were inside instead. Alicia was really cute in her Santa outfit and was happy the whole time. Once again we got to hear all the songs and it was a cozy atmosphere. Afterwards we had talked to the other parents over some coffee and the kids decorated gingerbread houses (with our help!!).






When we got home in the evening we had 3 tired kids that feel asleep in seconds and 2 tired parents, but we enjoyed the Lucia celebrations with the kids!!
