February 7th 2011 - Birthday party
This weekend we had a "family birthday party". Since Damien and Ross celebrated their birthdays over in the States and Alicia and I have ours this week we thought we have one big party instead of 4...
We had a great day with friends and family. Thank you everybody for coming and celebrating us and thank you for all the really nice gifts!
Since Alicia got home from the hospital she has been in an incredible mood. She has a smile on her face from she opens her eyes until she closes them at night. I can't remember when I have seen her this happy last, it feels like a long time ago.
It felt like Alicia was really participating at the party. Sometimes it's hard to, but on Saturday she sat in her chair - singing and taking, kicking and really asking for attention. It was great to see. She had some of the food we served (varm smörgåstårta) and she even tried a piece of the cake.
Alicia showing of her best side at the party. Alicia's homemade Hello Kitty cake!
Damien was a charm as usal. He is growing and developing so fast now. He was really cute when we sang to him. First he got really shy cause everybody was looking at him, then he relized that he had all the attention and clapped for us!!
Damien ready to blow out the candle! Damien's homemade train cake!

Great pictures of a fun birthday party! Alicia looks so happy and that makes me feel happy too! She definitely is doing much better then when she was here in the US. I know that when y'all come in the summer she will not have that bad cold and she will just love being outside in the warm sun.
Damien is adorable also. I can't picture Damien being shy ... he has more energy then a locomotive! I loved both his and Alicia's cakes. They lloked too good to eat!! Alan looked very happy with two of his grandchildren on his knees. What great grandparents Alan and Corina are!!
Linda and ross...happy birthday again and many, many more!
Love,
Mom L.
