July 1st 2011 - Our 1st week in the US

As most of you know we are spending the summer with our family over in the US. We arrived here about a week ago after a looooong plane trip. Travelling with two small kids is everything but relaxing…

After only two days we had to do a 10 hour car trip up to Cape Cod near Boston to attend a wedding. We decided to let Alicia stay with grandma and grandpa since it was such a long trip right after the long trip over from Sweden. We were away from her 4 whole days… It was really hard for Ross and me but Alicia had a great time and everything had gone really good!!

Up in Cape Code we went to Pete and Aasiya’s wedding. It was a beautiful wedding and we had a great time! We spent some time with good friends, ate good food, spent time at the beach and just relaxed. One day before we were supposed to go home we missed Alicia so much so we decided to drive home a little early… I don’t think I have ever kisses and hugged her as much as I have these last couple of days!!

Back in DC we have been hanging out with family and friends and just relaxing. We take the kids to the pool everyday and they absolutely love it. Alicia is a little mermaid, she kicks and splashes. She is really active in the water so it must be really good for her. Damien was a little scared at first but now he is overly brave and thinks that we can just let him go…

On Sunday we are leaving for Nags Head, NC for a week with the family at the beach. We are really looking forward to it!!
