As some of you already know we have applied for assistant hours for Alicia. A couple of months ago we got a visit from the Social Insurance Administration and the County. We had to tell them about our life with Alicia and explain what we need to help her with. They were telling us that it is hard to get help for small children like Alicia. What they do is that they compare her to a 2, 5 year old child and what they normally can do. They say that a lot of the things we help Alicia with count as parent responsibilities. The meeting went well at least and they were going to count on all the information we gave them.
On Friday afternoon they called and told us that they were going to approve 20 hours per week for us. We are so happy!! This opens so many opportunities for our family and most of all for Alicia!!

I'm so happy to hear that Linda will get to stay home part time. I'm sure this is quite a relief for you. And who else can do a better job with the kids than mommy? Sweden is awesome! Congratulations!

Dad and I are so happy that Linda will have more time to stay home with Alicia and pray that this turns into 40 hours a week soon!
