October 28th 2008 - Fall break with Alicia

It is really nice that I am on break with Alicia for the week. Linda, myself and Alicia will be heading up to Stockholm tomorrow. It is about a 6 hour drive from Malmö. Alicia will be playing with one her new little friends named Madison (Dave and Anja's baby). We hope to be able to go out with the two babies and walk around Sweden's capital.
Alicia has been getting a lot of attention since I got out of school on Friday. Lots of classical music has been played as we play, feed or talk with Alicia. She has been in a good mood most of the time, but she has started to be a little more tired than usual. Her neck is so much better than it has been. It is great to see the excitement in her eyes when she looks up from her stomach (our excitement is a close second). Alicia is trying her hardest to crawl. She is pushing as hard as she can with her legs. She can move a little bit if you let her push off your hands. The highlight of the whole process is to listen to her grunt and yell as she is trying her hardest to go forward. It sounds so funny as she works and works. She is so determined with everything she does.

No wonder she is tired. Sounds like she is getting a huge workout!!

What a doll she is! As nice as the pictures are, it can't capture all of her beauty. I can see she is doing so much better thanks to wonderful and dedicated parents and her tenaciousness. Everytime I look at her pictures, a big smile comes to my face because we are so proud of her, her progress and God's work in progress.

Congratulations and keep up the great work!

    Love,

    Ross and Linda,
I typed a comment for the 24th October blog under th 17th Oct info. Please check my comment.

Ross, you are very good at describing Alicia's activities. I love reading your take on her latest developments almost as much as I love the pictures! It is so encouraging to us to see that since the seizures have stopped, Alicia has zoomed in her development.

In one of the pictures it looks like she has a tooth? If she does, tell us all about it!

Do Alan and Corina get to see Alicia a lot? I bet they think of any reason to come play with her, just like we would! Linda, your parents are wonderful and we are so relieved that they are so close to y'all!

    Love,
    Mom L.
