Tuesday is a great day of the week. I get off work at 14:00 (2:00 pm) and Linda starts at 3:00 pm. So Alicia is all mine. This week Alicia woke up right after Linda left at about 14:35. She was hungry so I popped in a classical music cd called The Romantic Piano and went to go get her some baby food. Alicia loves the cd, it is one of 9 cds in a set that has such composers as Beethoven, Mozart, Bach and Strauss. (Jay's like whose Beethoven.) ...Well dinner went down in a record father-daughter time. Two weeks ago it took a long hour to get a jar of food down, this week it was under 30! She was happy the whole time jamming to the classical cd. It is sooooo cute how excited she gets as the songs hit their peak. The whole time she has a big smile, her eyes are wide open, and she is moving to the music.
Alicia had a half of a banana for dessert. She loves bananas! Afterward with the music still going I put Alicia on the ground. She rolled over on her own and then pulled her arm out by herself, so that she was on her stomach. Alicia is getting a lot stronger in her neck. I helped her so that she could look straight out from her stomach. She really enjoyed looking out from this direction. I let go of her head and she started pulling her head up on her own. It was more than she has done in a long time. I taped her working and working for Linda to watch when she came back from work. At about 5 pm, the classical hour workout was done and Alicia was getting ready for a little nap.
About 40 minuits later I heard Alicia awake in her crib. I think her workout had made her hungry. After some quick food we were back on the super yoga mat. This time we were listening to the classical cd called Mostly Baroque, another Alicia favorite. We worked out for another hour or so. She was loving the view from her stomach. Her vision was looking much better. She was turning over, kicking her feet, getting her head up, laughing cooing it was great! Alicia is a true champion. Alicia knocked out at about 7:30 and got back up for a bottle and her meds at 8:30. It was nice just holding tired Alicia at the end a fun and active day. She soon feel asleep in my arms and I held her for a while, gave her a kiss, and put Alicia to bed for the night.
