July 17th 2010 - Chasing the sun
The time we have spent on the north coast of Spain has been great. We got to experience Spain winning the world cup during our stay in Llanes. It was really cool to see how crazy people went. Everybody was so happy and just jumping around in the streets. When Spain scores they were even having fireworks going of...
The only thing that we were not 100% satisfied with was the weather in the end. We were prepared that the weather can be very sporadic on the coast, but we felt that we wanted to be sure that we would get sun our last week. We packed up our car in the evening, me and the kids feel asleep in the car, and when we woke up Ross had driven us 868 km to Tossa de Mar in Coasta Brava. This is a really cosy beach town with castle walls and narrow little cobblestoned streets. Here is a bit more tourists then it was on the other coast, but we really like it here. It has been in the 90´s since we got here and the ocean is a lot warmer so we can swim much more with the kids. Now we are staying here until Thuesday and the we leave for 2 days in Luxembourg before we head back to Malmö.
The kids are doing really well. They are taking the heat very well as long as they get to go in the water a lot. The first night we slept in the tent but it was really hot and lucky us Ross found us a room downtown with a fan!!
That is all for now and we will update you more when we get home!

Great Idea to Travel South
ReplyDeleteMemere, 18 jul 05:09
I think it was a great idea to pack up and move south. No sense spending your vacation in the rain, especially in Spain. I think you two have something about picking where to be during the world cup, also. Weren't you in Italy four years ago???!!! I can't wait to see the pictures of your vacation. I bet you are all tan now and not looking forward to the end of a wonderful vacation. The kids sound like they are doing very well with all of the traveling and new adventures. Enjoy these next days and keep relaxing on the beaches of the world!
Love,
Mom L.
