June 28th 2009 - Right direction

It's been a while since we updated so I figured I'll give a quick update.

Alicia has been free from seizures for almost 2 weeks. On Wednesday they did a new EEG on her and it showed that the infantile spasm was gone. Finally!!! So right now they are lowering the dose of medicine that she is given with the shot every day. They need to bring it down slowly so Alicias body doesn't go in to shock. She will get her last shot on July 7th. 10 more to go, we count down!!

Alicia is not feeling so good at the moment and that is a side effect to the medicine. She is very uncomfortable and that makes her whine a lot. We hope that it will be better in a couple of days.

Ross is in the US visiting his family and friends at the moment. He will be back on the same day Alicia gets her last shot. We miss him so much, but we are very happy that he got to go and visit everybody! Today him and his family will go down to Nags Head for a week. They have rented the same beach house we stayed at last year. It was a beautiful place right by the beach. Alicia and I are so sad that we can't be there with the rest of the family...
