September 5th 2010 - Damien update

In just a week Damien will be 8 months old. It goes too fast... Our little baby boy is so big now! We were excitingly waiting for him to start to crawl and last week he started. I was standing out in the kitchen and all of a sudden he came crawling out to me. It was adorable!! Now it feels like he can't get enough of the world. He is exploring everything, touching everything and pulling everything - especially the things he is not allowed to. He is really fast and he chases Oliver around the house. He also started to stand up. He uses the couch, benches and other things to pull himself up and if he can he climbs up on it.

Damien loves to clap his hands. You can tell that we clap when he does something good cause now he will do something and then look at us and clap his hands. We have started to sing "If your happy and you know it" (på svenska: "klappa händerna") and he will imitate us and clap his hands.

We have also gotten our first kisses from Damien. He leans in with a big open mouth. They are very slimy but the cutest thing!!

Two little teeth have come through. It is the two bottom ones and you can see them when he gives you a big smile, which he does a lot. Damien is a really happy little boy. He smiles and talks most of the time and only cries when he is tired or hungry. He loves food and is a very good eater and his 23 pounds shows that!!
