Damien quotes

Damien said some funny stuff today. Just wanted to share!!

Ross asked Damien if he wanted a warm sandwich for breakfast. Damien responded " yucky, worms on a sandwich, that is gross.."

On a walk to the store Damien ran and jumped around. He stoped and said " Mom, my heart is so tired"

I told Damien that  I thought he is so cute. He declared that babies are cute and he is no baby. He told me that I can tell him that I love him and that he is a good boy...

Ross and I was listening to spotify and there was a picture of an album with a girl on. The girl was wearing a short skirt and high boots. All of a sudden we hear Damien " I never seen a girl like that. I never seen legs like that..." :)

A very special get together!

A couple of days ago we got to meet Joshua and his mom and sister. It was a very special get together. Joshua is diagnosed with the same syndrome as Alicia. This was the first time we got to meet somebody else with MPPH, and it was the first for them as well.

We met up in a park in Georgetown, DC and hung out for a few hours. We had a lot to talk about and it was just amazing to feel the connection. It was great to talk to Joshua's mom and to share experiences. Joshua was such a sweet boy and it was so great to get the chance to meet him and his wonderful family!

Considering how rare Alicia's syndrome is I can't believe that there is another family just 20 minutes from Ross' parents place.  We are looking forward to meeting up next year again!

2nd trip to the Outer Banks

We just got back to DC after a week in the Outer Banks with the family. We had a great week! Lots of beach time, hanging out in the hot tub, fishing, playing with the cousins, great family time, good dinners, board games, shell collecting, jumping in the waves, building sand castles, digging for sand crabs, restaurant visits, relaxing and so on - the list is long =)

Hopefully these pictures can tell some stories!!
