This weekend

We had a great family weekend!

On Saturday we spent the morning at home. Playing and just hanging out. Daddy had his first DAFL game in footy. They won with over 100 points! In the evening we went to Fredrik's birthday party. We had a great time and it is always good to see everybody. Damien was really excited about the party and sang happy birthday and talked about candy and cake all day!

On Sunday we just stayed at home. Played, danced, sang, read books and went for a long walk.

Alicia is back to herself and was in a great mood all weekend. She had the biggest smile on her face!

Unfortunately Damien woke up Tuesday morning with a high fever again. Please hold your thumbs that not the entire family will get sick again!

Here are a few pictures from this weekend!

Thank you...

Damien, my sweet little boy.... This morning me and the kids sat down and had breakfast together and as usual I helped Alicia with her food. After we were all done Damien looked at me at me and said: Thank you, Mommy! I asked him what he was thanking me for and he replied: Thank you for helping Alicia with her food!!

Hospital

Alicia has done such a good job this winter fighting all the germs, but with Daddy and the brothers all home sick with the flu it was to much for her. She got sick last Thursday. She had a fever and a cold and she was handling it really well. The problem was that we could not get her to eat and drink. She got weaker and started to just cry constantly. Last night we took her to the emergency room and she got admitted to the hospital so they can give her fluid through an IV. We are hoping to bring her home tomorrow!!

Still sick..

Ross is still home sick. Poor baby, I have never seen him so sick. He is finally getting better though and might return to work tomorrow.

Alicia still has a fever and is really weak. Last night her fever was really high and we are hoping that was the turning point for her.

Damien who was the first to be sick is doing better and went back to daycare yesterday. He was really happy to go back after 1 1/2 weeks home!

On Saturday Liam got sick as well. High fever. In the evening he had trouble breathing and we were up with him all night. In the morning I took him to the emergency room and they diagnosed him with spasmodic croup. This is nothing dangerous but it's uncomfortable
since it feels like you don't get enough air. The doctors gave him some medicines that helped his airways to open up and after that we could go home again. He is still sick with a fever and a runny nose but his breathing is much better.

How I still made it without getting sick is a mystery to me!

We got the flu...

We thought we made it through the winter without the flu. But no... Damien has had high fever since Sunday. Yesterday Alicia and Ross woke up sick as well with high fevers... I think we have a sick and calm weekend a head of us...

Horse riding

On Wednesday Alicia had her last horse riding session for this term. She has done really big improvements and the difference from the first to the last time is really big. Her sitting skills on the horse - Viking - has been getting better and better. In the beginning she would sit for a few minutes and then have to rest, then sit for a few minutes and then rest and most of the time we would have to cut the 30 minute session short. In the end she's been sitting up on the horse with a straight back during most of the lesson and just needed a few short rests.

We are really hopping for her to to go back after the summer!
