Welcome to our new blog!!!

After a lot of work our new blog is finally up and running. Welcome!!

The blog we had on webgain.se started to cost money and it was pretty comlicated to add pictures and videos. I found this one and decided to change our website to blogspot.com instead. It seems like a site that is a lot easier to work with and hopefully that will result in more blog entries for you!!

We definetly did not want to lose all our entries and comments from the other blog so I have spent the last 3 nights (about 10 hours...) coping snd pasting EVERYTHING... You can now find all old entries under 2013, February and I have named all by their entery date.

Hope that you will enjoy our new blog and please pass out the new address!!

Hej Mom,
That picture was taken during the summer in Spain. It was the night that Spain won the World Cup. It is our favorite picture of just the kids from the Spain trip. Hard to believe that that was a good 6 to 7 months ago. They are both getting so big!

Hi everybody:-)

Looks like you all are enjoying christmas:-) We have soooo much snow here you would not believe... trains, busses, cars... nothing is getting around!!! We are trying to take some pics for you guys so you can see when you get back.

We just wanted to wish you a Happy New Year and hope the rest of your vaccation will be as great as it seemed so far.

Your pictures depict a beautiful family enjoying life and having fun. It is no wonder that it is said that "A picture is worth a 1000 words. You do so well with the blog. I can't tell you how many of these pictures are my favorite one. A story could be written about each of these whether it was about Brussels, France or St. Sebastian's. As Memere and I sit down together to view and read the blog you can hear us say, "OOOOUU AND AAAAHH!!!

Some of my favorites without elaboration or particular orderare the following: Damien held in the air by his Dad; Damien and Mommy cheek to cheek; Alicia ,with her nice curly hair, enjoying a peaceful sleep; the kids waking up in a tent in France; the family picture with the grandparents in St. S; Alicia playing with Grandma in the sand; Damien in blue; morning cuddles of Alicia and Damien; Alicia's perfect posture and relaxation as she floats on her back in the ocean; Mom and Dad on their wedding anniversary; the total family picture on the last day at St. Sebastian; and then some ...
Mom and Dad need to be commended on vacationing for five weeks with two little gems. Your kids will respect you that much more as they grow older and realize how adventuresome you are. Thank you for your blog.

What a beautiful family to have been blessed with by God. He is good. The pictures show so much love and happiness. Although we are thousands of miles away, we two rejoice with Alicia, Damienand everyone else for this beautiful gift. Alicia and Damienth fit like a hand and glove. I really believe that they will be good for each other. We sometimes think that one plus one equals two these two equal a million! They are both unique and precious in their own way!

I talked with Leila about my experience watching a father's love with his grown daughter. Through the father's eyes, there were only two people in the crouded subway car. As Leila caught me up with Alica's progress. I have been busy with things that do not matter and missed the love from my grandneice. Sometimes, I need to get my priorities straight. Alica is beautiful! When I saw the recent pictures I thought of the chorus of the song "Beautiful One".

Hey Ross, Lynda and little Alicia. I just wanted to say well done on a great website. It's wonderful knowing that Alicia is doing so well these days. We've all been concerned but not wanting to pry too much. Myself and Karolina are really happy for all of you. Although we'll be heading off to Africa soon we'll still stay in touch and have some good times together in the future no doubt!

Every day things happen and she is just getting stronger & stronger, learning more and moreJ It’s hard to explain this change but the thing for me that has been very important is that twinkle in her eyes that we did not see for a very long time, the smiles she gives you and her willpower!!!

February 3rd 2013 - Hej Family & Friends!!

The last 6 months has been so busy for us. It has been quiet in the blog and we have thought so many times to write but the time has not been there. We are really hopping to change that now.

I was looking back in the blog and relized that we havnt really writen anything this whole fall and winter. So, we have some catching up to do =) I think I will try to write about the big events in order as they happend. We have moved, PaPaw visited us, Christmas, birthdays, MeMeres visit, activitys and so on.

October 31st 2012 - Look who´s walking!!

October 4th 2012 - Long time no see

I want to start with apologizing to our readers for not
updating the blog in so long? We have been so busy?

We bought a new apartment in the same neighborhood as were
we live now. It is a little bit bigger which we desperately need. The boys get
one bedroom, Alicia gets her own room and Ross & I get one. The rest of the
apartment is pretty similar to the one we have now. We get the new place on
December 1^st and are planning on doing some renovations before we
move in. Right now we are trying to sell our place ? so please hold your thumbs
that we will get it sold!!

Talking about thumbs we had an accident on Sunday. Damien
fell down when he played at Leo?s lekland and hurt his thumb. It got really
swollen and a little miss colored. I called the nurse service for advice and
they said we could wait until Monday morning to see how he felt. As soon as I
saw it the next morning I realized we had to go and have it checked out. Poor
Damien had a fracture in his thumb!! He was such a good boy at the doctors and
at the x-ray. I was so proud over him!!

After we got home from the States this summer my mom (Alicia?s
Mormor) started to work as Alicia?s assistant. It is so nice to get this help.
Alicia and Mormor do a lot of fun things together ? they go to swimming, horse
riding, training and to upplevelsehuset.

Upplevelsehuset is a place that is built specially for people with disabilities. It has 5 different rooms where you can experience with all of your different senses.

Some days Mormor comes to our place and helps Alicia out at
home. This is also a great help! She can play with Alicia, help her with the food,
and give her a bath and so on. At the same time Alicia is still with the rest
of the family but can be entertained the whole time. We are so grateful for
this help and we are so grateful to have wonderful Mormor who would do anything for Alicia. She is the best assistant we could have!!

Mormor always picks Alicia up after school on Fridays. Ross
is taking Fridays off so we can do activities with only the boys. We have been
going on some hikes that we have really liked. Ross will make a blog about this
later on!

He has taken 5 steps on his own, but he is scared to let go..

July 2012 - Last 3 weeks in Washington

We have now reached the last part of our trip - 3 weeks in Washington with friends & family!

We had a 2 day stop in Richmond to visit Nic, Heather & Pri

July 2012 - Family week in Nags Head

Better late than ever... Finally I had time to sit down and upload the pictures.

After our Florida trip we meet up with the rest of the family in Nags Head. We had such a good time with a lot of beach time and good weather, good food and great company!
