A few highlights (that we caught on photos)

During the time Mormor and Morfar were visiting we celebrated Swedish midsummer with our two families. We had new potatoes, herring and strawberries on the menu and also a couple of American additions. We introduced everybody to the Swedish songs and dances. A lot of fun to see the reaction to "smÃ¥ grodorna"!!
We made paper flowers for all the kids to were on their heads. It was a really successful party!!

Uncle Jay took Mormor, Morfar, Ross and I on a night tour around DC and we ended the night at a whiskey bar with a huge selection. Morfar got to enjoy a $42 glass of whiskey!!

In the morning before Mormor and Morfar were traveling back to Sweden we went out and had an all American breakfast at IHOP. Yummy!!

We are enjoying a lot of time in the pool in Me Mere and Papaw's backyard.

Ross and I took the kids to the zoo. The kids love to walk around and look at all the animals. As usual the elephants were one of the favorites!

This visit Liam had a situation with his pacifier. We were watching the tigers when Liam all of a sudden starts screaming!!! He had thrown his pacifier into the tigers' and he was sad because he couldn't get it back.  We tried to reach it with a short branch, but we couldn't get a grip on it.  Oh well, I told him that it was gone and that he need to hold on to them. Liam was throwing a fit and by now there was a big crowed around us feeling so sorry for Liam.  Two worried moms were able to locat a zoo worker that came to Liam's rescue. The worker gave Ross a snake pole and Ross reached in and grabbed the pacifier. When he got it back the crowed around us were clapping. I couldn't believe how envoled everybody got... =)

MeMere and Papaw were celebrating their 42nd anniversary. We all went to go play put put golf. It was a very interesting  experience with 5 kids under 7 years old. After that we had a ice cream party at MeMere and Papaw's q house. Congratulations!

Ross was able to go with Jay and watch the US play one of the worldcup games.

This week was the first time we made it down to the pool. Alicia was loving it as she had a full day of swimming and splashing around. Liam was being really funny and crazy. He has no fear so we had to keep a really close eye on him.

While we spent the day at the pool Damien got to go with aunt Sue, Jamison and Harley to the zoo. He had a great time! Thank you for bringing him!

Friday night Ross and I got to enjoy some adult time. We went out for a nice dinner in DC with Jay and Jessica.

Nags Head part 2

We really enjoyed the last couple of days at the beach. One of the days Ross and I took the kids to the aquarium. It was fun to watch sharks, turtles, snakes and all the colorful fish. The boys favorite part was the dinosaur trail where they had big robot dinosaurs that were moving and making sounds.

We spent a lot of time at the beach the last days as well. Alicia finally made it down too. We brought a little pool for her which she enjoyed, but she loved to sit in the sand and feel the waves wash over her legs.

The boys were boogie boarding. They were actually pretty good, we will keep on working on it when we are back on the beach in a few weeks. Liam enjoyed taking his naps on the beach in the little wagon and Damien played superheroes...

We had such a good time. Thank you Sue and Craig for letting us stay in your beach house and thank you Mormor and Morfar for spending the week with us!

Nags Head

We are enjoying a week down in Nags Head with Mormor and Morfar.

Sue and Craig have built a beautiful house and they were kind to let us spend the week there. Thank you guys!!

Craig came down over the weekend and took Ross and Morfar fishing. The first day they had the biggest catch and Craig cooked up some awesome fish for us in the evening.

The chicken pox are finally done. Alicia, with her bad luck, had a chicken pox in her ear that caused an inner and middle ear infection. Ross took her back to the doctors yesterday and got her some penicillin and ear drops. My poor sweetheart <3

We are still having a great time and have  been able to enjoy some beach time, fishing, shell picking, sand digging and BBQ dinners.  We have 4 more days left at the beach, new update will come when we get back to DC. Here are some pictures that we wanted to share!
