Purple Day - Supporting Epilepsy Awareness Around The World!

Purple Day is an event designed to raise awareness of epilepsy. Beginning in 2008, people are encouraged to wear a purple-coloured item of clothing on March 26. Purple and lavender are often associated with epilepsy, as for example in the wearing of a lavender ribbon.

Today we wear purple to support Alicia and her friends!

Finally home!

Ater 17 hard days everything is finally back to normal. Early this morning Alicia and I picked Ross and the boys up from the airport. It was so good to see them again!!

Alicia and I have had a good time, but it has been so quiet. I think Alicia missed the boys and Daddy. Every time she heard them on the phone she got a big smile on her face.

Alicia with her new friend apan.

At the airport I meet up with the boys right outside the car. They gave me a huge hug and then they both asked for Gagga (Alicia). I opened the door for them and they covered her in hugs and kisses.

They were over excited when they came home but eventually they calmed down and now they are both asleep on the couch.

I'm looking forward to hear all about their trip and hopefully they will share some more stories here on the blog!

Finally home!

More quick pictures from Disney World

We had an magical time in Disney World together.  We fit a month into four days.  We were able to make it to all four parks Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and a brief visit to Epicot to watch the light show.  Most of the time was spent at Magic Kingdom.  The boys loved all of it.  Damien went on all types of rides and loved Peter Pan and Space Mountain.  After he went on the Space Mountain roller coaster I asked Damien if he liked it and how he felt.  He simply answered, "I screamed; can we do it again!"  Liam's favorite thing was watching the extraordinary firework shows and the Electric Parade. He would watch the fireworks explode and then yell out, "Pang boom!"  He would ask me each day if we could see the "Pang booms."  They both liked meeting Micky Mouse. Liam tried to get Micky's nose.

Damien meeting Disney Princesses

UDamien and I have been staying up at the Magic Kingdom until 1:00 to 2:00 am. Last night when there were no lines a tired Damien meet Rupenzal and Snow White. He liked Rupenzal but he was super shy when it came to meeting Snow White. He said he liked Rupenzal because she had hair like Mommy.

A trip to the Zoo with the Monkeys

Today Damien , Liam and I went to the Washington national zoo. It was sunny and about 10 c/ 50 f degrees. We actually walked around with the stroller for 4 long, fun, and entertaining hours.  It was nice to have sunny and warmer weather after having a snowstorm and freezing weather on Monday and Tuesday.

Here are some pictures of the big adventure!
Talking about the tigers together. Damien is taking care of Liam.

Cheese!

Hug!

A gorilla challenged Damien to a fight.

....He told Damien to kiss his behind.

...So the boys had no choice but to knock him out!!!

Happy Damien!

We saw real elephants as well, but they didn't let us get as close as this fake one for the picture;)

Ross and the boys are in the US

On Friday Ross and the boys left  to the US for 17 days and they made it there safe! Damien had been really good on the flight while little Liam kept Ross busy the entire time. Being stuck on a plane with a 2 year old for 9 hours is not one of the first things on my wish list... :)

It was great for them to see everybody and the boys are having a blast with their cousins Jamison and Harly. Aunt Sue posted this awesome picture!
